SCOPE OF WORK:

ORG 53 J.L. LONG MIDDLE SCHOOL- RENOVATION: Project consists of the following:

1. Interior renovation at building entry.
2. Interior renovation at existing gym and provide gym divider curtain.
3. Replace finishes in existing elevator.
4. Replace exterior sealant at windows and control joints.
5. Repair and replace existing windows.
6. Provide exterior light fixtures and lighting controls.
7. Replace / Provide HVAC at existing IDF/MDF rooms.
8. Provide new marquee sign.
9. Partial replacement of existing CTP roof system.
10. Improve drainage at courtyard.
11. Replace select HVAC and RTUs at Auditorium.
12. Replace / Provide water fountains with bottle fillers.
13. Replace RPZ / Backflow Preventors.
14. Repair / Repoint existing stone parapet (Bid Alternate).
15. Replace existing grease trap (Bid Alternate).
16. Repairs / Replace exterior doors and hardware (Bid Alternate).
17. Provide motorized cross-court basketball goals (Bid Alternate).
18. Paint exterior railings and clean exterior facade (Bid Alternate).

PRE-BID-DATE & LOCATION:

A pre-proposal meeting will be held at 6116 Reiger Ave, Dallas, TX 75214 on Monday, 02/03/2025 at 10:00 am via zoom for all interested parties. This meeting is not mandatory, but the information discussed will be extremely helpful in preparation of the proposal.

All general contractors and sub-contractors are encouraged to attend this meeting. Contractors will meet A/E(s) and PM at the school to start site tours. The first site tour will take place immediately following the pre-proposal. The following is the schedule for each site tour:

BID-DATE & LOCATION:

All Construction Services procurements must be physically delivered to the Construction Services office, at the Linus D. Wright Dallas ISD Administration Building 9400 North Central Expressway, Suite 800 Dallas, TX 75231. (Call 972.925.7200 for directions). Delivery to other locations will result in rejection of a CSP.

Completed CSP Package Part 1-A, 1-B and 1-C are due on Tuesday, 03/04/2025 at 2:00 PM (local time).

Completed CSP Package Part 2 is due on Wednesday, 03/05/2025 at 3:00 PM (local time).

Any materials received after the respective closing dates / times will not be considered.

The District will open and read the names of the proposers and prices submitted in responsive CSPs beginning at 3:00 P.M. local time upon submittal of Part 2 of the Package, via zoom at Dallas ISD Construction Services, Linus D. Wright Dallas ISD Administration Building 9400 North Central Expressway, Suite 800 Dallas, TX 75231.
